The Chickasha Area Arts Council and the Chickasha Community Theatre will be hosting a listening session with the Oklahoma Arts Council (OAC) on Dec. 12.
The community is invited to attend and participate.
What are your goals, dreams and desires for the “The Arts” in our community?
The meeting is scheduled from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at 521 W. Chickasha Avenue, home of the Chickasha Area Arts Council. There is no cost to attend, however RSVPs are requested. RSVP to Chandra.boyd@arts.ok.gov to reserve your seat.
The focus of this meeting, and others held throughout the state in the coming weeks, is for the Oklahoma Arts Council and Oklahoma citizens to identify their shared goals in order to develop arts programs that meet the needs of Oklahoma’s communities and schools statewide.
Ideas gleaned from the statewide meetings will be used in creating the OAC strategic plans for 2026-2030.
