A stormy weekend in the area saw 2,998 power outages in Stephens County. Only 21 Cotton Electric customers were still out of power by Monday afternoon, according to findenergy.com.
Almost 650 Caddo County electric customers were without power over the weekend. Eighteen hours ago 525 customers were still powerless, about 5 percent of the total customers in the county. Only eight customers were waiting for power to return at the time of this posting.
In Grady County, the peak number of outages was 444. Just one customer was still waiting for electricity today.
Tornado warnings were sounded in many communities around Oklahoma Sunday, including Chickasha. The Oklahoma City area was hardest hit. Eleven people were injured.
