Rural Neighbors OHCE group, Ross Seed and Feed, Washita Valley Weekly and the Chisholm Trail Community News sponsor the Beautification award each year from April through November. Members from the Grady County OHCE groups and community individuals nominate the residential and businesses that show pride in their property each month. We encourage the public to let us know of friends and neighbors whose home or business show pride in their communities. They can contact Jyme Tiner, OHCE Rural Neighbors and county reporter, at gmtiner2@gmail.com with a recommendation for this honor.
For October’s residential recognition Kendal and Paula Brashears home at 3909 Hickory Stick in Sleepy Hollow was nominated by OHCE member Pat Reeves.
Gateway to Hope Chapel was nominated for the business beautification award. They are located on 29th street in Chickasha.
