CHICKASHA – The Chickasha Chamber of Commerce recently hosted over 90 Chamber professionals from across Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives (OCCE) Annual Conference. The three-day event featured a welcome address from Senator Lonnie Paxton and an Economic Development Tour, which saw 40 Chamber professionals participate in.
A major highlight of the conference was the annual awards gala, where the Chickasha Chamber took home several prestigious honors. Among the most notable was the recognition of the Chamber’s Marketing Director, Cassie Poole, as Outstanding Staff of the Year. This state-level recognition is a significant achievement for Cassie, who has been with the Chamber for five years. During this time, she has played an instrumental role in the Chamber’s growth and success, particularly in the realm of marketing.
“I would consider Cassie an expert in all aspects of marketing due to endless research of social media trends and her intuitive feel for how to reach people with the right message,” said Jim Cowan, President of the Chickasha Chamber. “Her expertise makes every nonprofit and civic club want her to help them, and she usually does. She serves in leadership roles in multiple civic groups, which also helps her serve Chamber members.”
Cassie has led the charge in elevating the Chamber’s marketing efforts, introducing cutting-edge campaigns and tools that have earned the organization several Communications Excellence awards from OCCE in previous years. She has expanded the Chamber’s social media presence from a single channel with 3,000 followers to five channels with a combined following of over 12,000. Her work extends beyond the Chamber’s own platforms, as she has successfully managed the social media for Leadership Chickasha and the Oklahoma Food Truck Championship.
“Our Chamber is experiencing record membership revenue, and much of that is attributed to how she markets the Chamber brand here in Chickasha,” added Cowan. “Local businesses want to be a part of the Chickasha Chamber because of how she tells our story.”
The Chickasha Chamber’s Membership Director, Maddy Mosley, also celebrated a significant achievement during the awards ceremony, as she graduated from the Chamber Management Institute.
The Chamber’s hard work and innovative approach to marketing were further recognized when they received a Communications Excellence award for Digital Media, specifically for their ChickTok Tip of the Week series. This weekly video series features marketing and membership tips from the Chamber’s leadership team and has become a valuable resource for local businesses.
The Chickasha Chamber of Commerce continues to demonstrate excellence in leadership, innovation, and community engagement, with this year’s OCCE conference and awards serving as further proof of their impact at both the local and state level.
