Two pickups collided about 9 miles east of Chickasha
on OK-39 and County Street 2940 on Tuesday,
June 27th at approximately 3:22 pm in the afternoon.
A 1984 Chevrolet C-10 driven by Michael Lamb,
age 60, of Blanchard, was northbound and stopped
at a stop sign at County Street 2940 on OK-39. a
2008 Ford F-350 driven by Ronald Smith, age 67, of
Purcell, was eastbound on OK-39. The Chevrolet proceeded
from the stop sign and was struck by the Ford.
Mr. Lamb was transported by Chickasha EMS to
OU medical and admitted in stable condition. Mr.
Smith was not injured and a 16 year old (name withheld)
passenger was not injured in the colission.
The cause of the collison was listed as failure to
yield and investigated by Trooper Tyler Shelby #619
of the Grady County Detachment of Troop G. Assisted
by Grady County Sheriff’s Office, Grady County
Fire and Chickasha EMS.
