The 84th edition of the Chickasha Rodeo will ride into the arena at the Grady County Fairgrounds this Friday and Saturday.
A variety of rodeo events will be featured as the Chickasha Rodeo Foundation hosts what could be the longest continually running open rodeo in Oklahoma.
Among the events are: bull Riding, bronc riding, women’s barrel racing, calf tie-downs and breakaway roping, calf roping, and for the kids a calf scramble and mutton busting.
Also, the rodeo will feature the pageantry of the Grand Entry when the colors (US and Oklahoma flags) are posted with as many horses and riders show off their regalia to the crowd.
Professional rodeo clowns keep the contestants safe while providing the audience with entertaining antics.
The Rodeo will kick off with a parade in downtown Chickasha at 4 p.m. Friday, June 23.
The Rodeo will begin at 8 pm each evening. Ticket prices at $10 adults, $5 kids and kids under four are free.
