Three to hospitals following crash


The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a collision east of Chickasha on Highway 62 sent three people to the hospital on Thursday at approximately 7:35 am.
 A 2014 Cadillac ATS driven by Carolyn S. Parnell, 76, of Rush Springs, was east bound on US-62, about 1½ miles east of Chickasha and attempted to make left turn into a private drive and struck a 2019 Toyota Sienna driven by Shifeng Lin, 41, of Brooklyn, NY who was west bound on US-62.
 Carolyn Parnell was transported by Chickasha EMS to Grady County Memorial Hospital and admitted in serious condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, arm and leg injuries.
 A passenger, Claude R. Parnell, 77, of Rush Springs, was transported by Chickasha EMS to Grady County Memorial Hospital then transferred by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. He was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, arm and leg injuries.
 Shifeng Lin, 41, of Brooklyn, NY. was transported by Tuttle EMS to Grady County Memorial hospital where he was treated and released.
 The cause of the collision was listed as an improper turn, in front of oncoming traffic.
 The incident was investigated by Trooper Randall Milam #453 of Troop YC. Assisted by Lt. Kerry Massie #166 of Troop YC, Chickasha Fire Department and Tuttle Fire Department.
