Failure to negotiate a curve sent 3 children to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that on Thursday, September 8 at approximately 7:50 am, a 2022 Nissan Altima driven by Melinda S. Crumb, 31, of Ninnekah, was eastbound on CR 1320. The vehicle approached a right curve and continued straight departing the roadway to the left then struck a dirt embankment overturning one time coming to rest in a ravine. OK.
Crumb refused treatment, however three juveniles, ages 6, 7 and 11 were all transported to OU Children’s Hospital where the 6 and 11 year old were treated for arm and trunk injuries and released. The 7 year old female was admitted in fair condition with head, trunk internal and external injuries.
The cause of the collision in under investigation by Trooper Sammy Lee #846 of the Grady County detachment of Troop G. Assisted by Chickasha EMS and Grady County FD.
