14 Year Old airlifted to hospital after being ejected


 A one vehicle accident approximately 3½ miles south of Rush Springs, ejected a 14 year old male occupant of Duncan on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 7:20 am according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
 The youth was transported by Survival Flight to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. Admitted in fair condition with head, trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
 The report stated that a 2000 Chevy 2500 pickup driven by Crissy A. Butler, age 43, of Duncan, was north bound on US-81, departed the roadway to the right for approximately 308 feet, overcorrected and entered back on to US-81then departed the roadway to the left for 49 feet, struck a cable barrier and continued traveling north in the median coming to rest on its wheels.
 Butler and 2 other passengers, Allen S. Halland, age 70, of Duncan, and a 12 year old juvenile was uninjured.
 Cause of the accident was listed as unsafe speed on the report.
 Investigated by Trooper Sheldon Glass #355 of the Stephens County Detachment of Troop G. Assisted by Rush Springs Fire Department, AMR, Rush Springs Police Department and Survival Flight.
