A Funeral service for Roy Lando Sutton, 72, of Chickasha, be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Minister and great-niece Lisa VanDorn officiating.

Roy Lando Sutton was born November 16, 1951, in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Lando Sutton and Goldie Irene (Marsh) Johnson. He passed from this life on Friday, November 1, 2024, in Chickasha Oklahoma surrounded by his family.

Roy grew up in Chickasha and attended Chickasha Public Schools. After school, he was employed with Chickasha Manufacturing, The City of Chickasha, 4-H Trailers, Marmont, and Delta Faucet. He also had a business with his brother S&S Computers.

On May 10, 1968, he married Bessie Pender in Wichita Falls, Texas and they shared fifty-six years of marriage together.

Roy loved to go fishing, sing and play guitar, practice archery, and help others. He had a great spirit about him and helped anyone in need. He was known for giving great Christmas gifts and he was an ordained minister but the upmost important thing to Roy was his love for the Lord!

Roy was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Larry Joe Sutton and Jim Sutton; sister-in-love Darlene “Winnie” Baum, and grandchild Sienna Holden.

Love ones left to remember Roy are his wife Bessie, of the Home; daughter and significant other, Jennifer Holden and Robby Files of Chickasha; son, Joseph Sutton of Wilcox, Arizona; grandchildren Alexis Sharp–Jenkins, Savannah Holden of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Ethan Holden of Chickasha; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Roy’s wishes were to be cremated after the funeral service. Services and cremation are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
