Janell was born Thursday, December 4, 1947, in Oklahoma City to Lyndon Augusta and Iva Gertrude (Dugger) Marks. She graduated from Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, OK. Janell married the love of her life, Billie Joe Jordan on June 20, 1966, in Del City, Oklahoma. They lived in Fairbanks, AK where Joe was stationed. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, they moved back to Rush Springs. In February of 1972, the pair moved to Delhi, California where Joe managed a horse trailer company. They returned to Rush Springs in June of the same year and settled down to stay on a farm east of Rush Springs in 1975. Janell worked in Lindsay for Storm Lures for five years and went on to work for Marlow Orthopedics for another five years. She was a self-taught taxidermist, and fish were her specialty. Many family members and friends still have their catches on their walls. She eventually took up woodworking as well. Janell enjoyed oil painting, and fishing was her passion, but neither compared to the love she had for spending time with her grandchildren. Janell was a member of the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Joe, of the home; two sons, Jackie Jordan of Rush Springs and Tommy Jordan and wife, Kimberly, of Rush Springs; three grandchildren, K’Leigh R. Malone and husband, Travis, of Rush Springs, Devin Blake Jordan and wife, Kylee, of Durant, and Renae Fitzpatrick and husband, Cody, of Rush Springs; four great-grandchildren, Waylon R. Malone, Kennedy B. Malone, Josie M. Fitzpatrick, and Keeton R. Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
