Traffic Homicide Unit investigates pedestrian death in Caddo County


A Norman woman was killed in a pedestrian-vehicle collision Sunday, Oct. 6, on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike about 7 miles east of Fletcher in Caddo County.
The pedestrian, Kreshardra Willhoite, 46, was pronounced deceased at the scene with head, trunk internal and external injuries. She was transported by Asbury Mortuary to the Medical Examiners Office in Oklahoma City.
Wallace C. Clay, 50, of Owasso, was the driver of the 2023 Chevy Malibu that struck Willhoite. He was not injured.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation by Trooper Ryan Hayes of the Traffic Homicide Unit of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
He was assisted at the scene by Lt. Thomas Setters, Lt. Destry Richardson, Trooper Tyrone Dixon, Trooper Zachary Johnson, Trooper Steven Mitchell, Trooper Zacary Wallis, Trooper Russell Boswell, Trooper Jared Martinez, Cyril Fire Department, Kirk’s EMS, Elgin Fire Department, Comanche County Sheriff’s Office, OTA and Medical Examiner.
