Memorial Service for Pearl Tims will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Arrangements are with Sevier Funeral Home.

Pearl Tims passed from this life on Monday, September 30, 2024, in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 84. Pearl was born on September 20, 1940, in Cloudcroft, New Mexico to Olen and Irene Baird.

Pearl lived in Cloudcroft, NM until she was 9 years old, then they moved to Texas where she was raised. She was the apple of her Daddy’s eye. At the age of 15, she met the love of her life, Johnny Tims. They were married in 1957 in Texas. They had 67 wonderful years together. They both served the Lord in Ministry for over 50 years. Pearl was beside Johnny the entire time. They were blessed with four children, Steve, Tammy, Veldon, and Trena.

Pearl enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. She taught Sunday School at every church Johnny pastored. She loved spending time with her children and especially with her grandchildren. Her family was her whole life. Everything she did involved her family. Pearl’s door and heart were always open. She never turned anyone away.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Irene Baird; and her brother, Ernest Baird.

Pearl’s loved ones left to remember her include her husband of 67 years, Johnny Tims; her children, Steve Tims and wife Alana, Tammy Tims and husband Jeff Janicek, Veldon Tims and wife Tara, Trena Pitts and husband Johnny; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence Baird, Ross Baird, Olinda Hale; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
