Minco woman dies in vehicle accident


A Minco woman was killed Wednesday, Sept. 25, when the vehicle she was driving collided with 2006 Nissan Titan driven by Jerry D. Spain Jr., 29, of Russellville, Ark.
Details of how the accident occurred have not been released. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is still investigating.
The collision occurred at 7:21 p.m. on OK-37, a half-mile east of County Road 1190 and a half-mile west of Tuttle in Grady County.
Tara L. Allen, 50, of Minco, was pronounced dead by Tuttle Fire Department. She was transported by Sevier Funeral Home, pending transport to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City. Spain, who was pinned in his vehicle for 30 minutes, was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in stable condition with leg injuries.
The accident is being investigated by Trooper Eric Burchett with assistance at the scene from Trooper Zachary Wright, Lt. Forrest White, Trooper Joshua Jackson, Trooper Bryce Stout, Trooper Daniel Metzgear, Trooper Konnor Dowell, Trooper Summer Smith, ODOT, Tuttle Police Department, Tuttle Fire, Tuttle EMS and Air Evac.
