A man who died June 22 in a single-vehicle accident a few miles north and east of Verden in Grady County was identified Monday by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol as Kobe D. Harris, 22, of Chickasha.
Harris was southbound at 10:25 p.m. on County Street 2785 when his 1996 Chevy Silverado departed the road to the left, re-entered the road and then departed the road to the right. The pickup struck a tree and caught fire, according to a report by Trooper Jared Martinez.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene by Chickasha Fire and EMS before being transported to the Medical Examiner’s office in Oklahoma City.
