Washita Valley news included in Chisholm Trail newspaper

By CTCN Staff
Washita Valley Publishing has announced recent changes in the publication of the Washita Valley Community News with new expanded coverage.
“Because of the current economic climate,’ said Wayne Watts, publisher and owner of the Washita Valley Community News, “we are forced to take steps to be able to continue publishing in Chickasha, Grady and Caddo Counties and surrounding communities”.
News that would have been featured in the Washita Valley print edition will now be included in the Chisholm Trail Community News and available on free news racks throughout the former circulation area of the Washita Valley newspaper.
Washita Valley news will continue to be posted online at chickashatoday.com, although both the website and print edition will have some exclusive content.
The Chisholm Trail Community News was established in 1994 in Duncan and reaches two-thirds of Stephens County households by mail and now will be distributed further into Grady and Caddo Counties. Readers will find the Chisholm Trail Community News on free news racks in Chickasha and throughout the area.
“We are reserving special pages for advertisers and news and other events for Chickasha, Anadarko and other communities in the area. This will provide advertisers even more coverage and expose their goods and services to more potential customers than before,” Watts said.
The offices of the Washita Valley Community News have recently moved to a new location at 1005 South 5th and will be staffed by Conrad Easterday, editor and Tony Mosley, advertising representative. Deneva Chaney, graphics design will work remotely to provide excellent quality display ads in the combined publication.
The phone number and contact information will remain the same. Those wishing to submit news items and/or need advertising service can contact us by phone, personal visit or by email at news@chisholmtrailnews.com. More news and information and advertising opportunities will be available at www.ChickashaToday.com as well. Also, the entire printed paper is accessible online.
Watts and his staff appreciate both the readers and supporting advertisers the past 21 years of producing the Washita Valley Community News.
