Healthy Living Ambassadors named


The “H’s” on the 4-H clover stand for Head, Heart, Hands and Health. The new 2024 Grady County 4-H Healthy Living Ambassadors are planning on using the first three (Head, Heart and Hands) to improve the 4th, the health.
Oklahoma 4-H Healthy Living Ambassadors and Grady County 4-H members, Maggie Evans and Shelby Kelsey decided to help develop the leadership abilities and spark a passion for healthy living by starting a Healthy Living Ambassador program for Grady County. Evans, said “If we can help one person to adopt a new habit to be healthier, then we will consider the program a success.” Evans and Kelsey will be the youth advisors for the new Healthy Living Ambassadors.
The Grady County Healthy Living Ambassadors will work both individually and as a team to bring wellness awareness programs and activities to the communities across Grady County. This team will not only be a strong voice encouraging healthy habits, but they will individually develop and teach workshops that focus on at least one aspect of healthy living.
To be selected as a Healthy Living Ambassador, 4-H members completed an application and interviewed for the position. They were asked questions about their own healthy habits and the area of healthy living they were most interested in working with. The Healthy Living Ambassadors plan to offer a Heathy Living Summit during the summer.
The Grady County 4-H Healthy Living Ambassadors are Olivia Evans, Katie Jones, Jeremiah Lam, Taylor Meeks, Ava Mitchell, Georgia Nelson and Sarah Stowe.
