A 23 year old Del City man, Mason E. Jones, was pronounced deceased at the scene of a collision on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike on Christmas day. The accident happen in the east bound lane at mile marker 83 near Chickasha. The event happened at approximately 11 am.
 According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Jones’ vehicle, a 2013 Dodge Avenger was parked on the shoulder with mechanical issues when it was struck by a 2012 Infinity QX56 driven by Janice P. Bell, 85, of Lawton. She was transported by Chickasha EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.
