Rollover sends woman to Grady Memorial Hospital


 A Newcastle woman was admitted to Grady Memorial Hospital following a one car rollover crash on Tuesday, September 19, eight miles east of Chickasha on US-62 at County Street 2940.
 According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report a 2003 Jeep Liberty driven by Emily C. Johnston, age 26, of Newcastle, was traveling eastbound on US-62 and attempted to pass a vehicle in front without sufficient clearance. Her vehicle swerved right to avoid oncoming traffic then overcorrected and swerved left then departed the roadway to the left. The vehicle rolled 3 times before coming to rest upright.
 She was transported by Chickasha EMS to Grady Memorial Hospital and admitted in fair condition with external head injury and internal and external trunk injuries.
 Cause of the collision was listed as overtaking without sufficient clearance and was investigated by Trooper Eric Burchett #346 of the Caddo County detachment of Troop G. Assisted by Grady County Fire Department and Chickasha EMS.
