Nelda Frances Ross was born in Anadarko on July 23, 1927, the daughter of Rufus Willis and Ella Belle Martin Willis. She passed from this life into the arms of our Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Funeral service for Nelda Ross, age 95 of Chickasha, was held Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Verden First Baptist Church.
 The seventh and youngest child, she grew up in the Broxton area before moving to Verden and attending school there.
 Nelda met and married RD Perdue in 1943 and together they had four children–Betty, Kathy, JoAnn and Michael. Later, she met and married Lester Ross. They lived in the Chickasha and Verden areas.
 Nelda worked for Maremont from which she retired after many years. She loved baking, sewing, camping, gardening and her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nelda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Verden.
 She was preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Ella Willis; brothers Tommy Willis, Charlie Willis, Marvin Willis and Orval Willis; sisters Thelma Willis and Nona Miller; and husband Lester Ross.
 Nelda is survived by daughters Betty Revelle, Kathy Porto and spouse, JoAnn Gresham and spouse; son Michael Perdue and spouse; niece Loyce Pennington; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and the children of Lester Ross including Jim Ross and spouse, Mary Davenport and spouse, Kathy Moore, Ruby Dillon and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
 Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Research Foundation at cancerresearch.org. Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of McRay Funeral Home
