Public Transportation in Grady County


 The Washita Valley Community Action Council operates a public transportation company that provides on demand rides in Chickasha on a daily basis and to other towns in Grady County with 48 hour advance notice. In the City of Chickasha, the buses operate between 5 am and 5 pm. The dispatch office takes calls between 8 am and 5pm daily to arrange for pickup and delivery throughout Chickasha. The cost of the ride in Chickasha is $2.50.
 County wide rides are $10.00 round-trip and have to be arranged 48 hours in advance. The county buses operate between 8 am and 5 pm in Alex, Rush Springs Bradley, Minco, Amber, Pocasset, Verden, Ninnekah, and Tuttle.  The Washita Valley Community Action Council is a private non-profit corporation, incorporated in 1968 to serve Grady an Caddo Counties. The council operates head start centers and programs in transit, weatherization, housing and RX Oklahoma. Their office is located at 1000 W. Minnesota Ave in Chickasha.
