The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating a homicide that occurred early on January 11, 2022 in Chickasha.
 The Chickasha Police Department received a 911 call at 4:53 am from the 1100 block of South 5th Street reporting a shooting according to a press release from the OSBI.
 The homeowner called police after shooting and killing an unidentified man who entered the house.
 Apparently the incident began when the suspect drove his vehicle through the north doors of the KFC restuarant at 1228 South 4th in Chickasha. The incident caused considerable damage to the restuarant building. Also, the suspect drove his vehicle through several nearby yeards, including the homeowner’s. The suspect began banging on a neighbor’s window according to the press release.
 The homeowner heard the noise and went outside to discover what was going on with the suspect comes up on the homeowner’s porch and assaults the homeowner’s wife and enters the house. The homeowner had a gun and shot the suspect inside the house. The suspect died at the scene.
 As of press time the suspect had not been identified.
