Etta Mae (Johnson) Ziegenfuss, of Chickasha, OK, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, in Chickasha, OK at the age of 82. She was born March 26, 1939, in Chickasha, OK to Eugene “Pop” and Dorothy “Granny” (Pender) Johnson.
Funeral Service were held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha, OK. Interment was in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
Etta was born and raised in Chickasha. She went through Chickasha schools and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1958.
She married Bill Martin and they had 2 children together, Lloyd Martin and Lisa Winstone. She married Roger Ziegenfuss on March 10, 1978, in Chickasha, OK. They were married 42 wonderful years. Etta loved her family and dearly loved and cared for many of her family members. She always took care of her family and was there whenever anyone needed her. Etta loved to go camping with Roger and they loved to go to the lake and even had a place out on Lake Texoma.
Etta loved her church family at Bible Baptist which she had been a member of for 40 years. She loved hosting her family and wanted to make sure everyone left fed. Mema loved her grandkids and playing games with them as well as going to their ball games and livestock shows. She loved to laugh and play pranks. Etta was fun and a joy to be around. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene “Pop” and Dorothy “Granny” (Pender) Johnson, sister Pansy Farmer, and nephew Kenneth Black.
Etta is survived by her husband, Roger Ziegenfuss, son Lloyd Martin, daughter Lisa Winstone and husband, Wesley, stepdaughter Carla Akin, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
