Jessie was born Wednesday, February 20, 1935, in Chickasha, to Michael Alexander and Effie Leona (Odom) Brumley. Jessie Marie Dalrymple, 86, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 in Duncan.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the First Assembly of God, Rush Springs, with Rev. Tom Linkey officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
She attended Rush Springs schools and had lived in the area all of her life.
Jessie married the love of her life, Robert Dalrymple, September 29, 1959 in Lawton. They celebrated more than 62 wonderful years of marriage together. Jessie worked in the school cafeteria for 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, canning vegetables, and camping. More than anything, Jessie loved her family and spending time with them. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include her husband of the home, 2 sons, Allen Dalrymple and wife Annette of Comanche, and Gary Dalrymple and wife Amy of Norman, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Thelma Painter of Springdale, AR, and Reva Jo Schaeffer of Idabel, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Cynthia Marie Dalrymple, 3 sisters: Frances Mable Long, Evelyn Marnes, and Hester Leonard, and 2 brothers, Joyce Berson Brumley, and Melvin J.C. Brumley.
