Funeral service for Victor Dean Valdes, 77, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 27, 2021 in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Vaughn Wand will officiate.
Victor Dean Valdes was born the son of Eugene and Mary Etta Mosher Valdes on March 9, 1944 in Dowagiac, Michigan. He died on November 21, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dean grew up in Michigan where he served in the National Guard and managed A&P grocery stores. He moved to Oklahoma in the mid 1980’s to do roofing. It was here that he met Rita and they were married on November 28, 1991. He worked at Gabriel as a fork lift driver for over 30 years. Dean enjoyed life. He liked car racing, football, taking care of his lawn, doing word search puzzles and cooking. He made the best hamburgers. He had a special friend–a squirrel that he named Foxy, whom he loved watching and feeding nuts. Dean especially enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. Dean loved his grandchildren and his sons Thomas Raby, Robert Lee Valdes and Todd Dean Valdes.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Mary Etta Valdes; sister Charlene Valdes; son Thomas Raby; and grandson Sydney Raby.
Dean is survived by his wife Rita C. Valdes; sons from a previous marriage Robert Lee Valdes and Todd Dean Valdes; grandsons Nick Valdes and Chase Valdes; sister Mary Jean Valdes; and brother Donald Valdes.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
