Early voting begins Thursday November 4 for voters in Caddo County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board. Caddo County Election Board Secretary, Joy Ferrell, said early voting is open to all voters.
Caddo County voters are being asked to approve a One-quarter cent sales tax through out the county to help fund the county ambulance system. The ballot language says: the purpose of such sales tax shall be solely to pay for the acquiring, continuing, equipping, repairing, renovating, operating, maintaining and advancing ground ambulance services in the County of Caddo, Oklahoma, to support rural and municipal ambulance service providers; to be distributed by the Caddo County Board of County Commissioners for such purpose. The ballot states that the taxes would be assessed beginning the 1st day of July, 2022 and expire and cease to be collected on the 30th day of June, 2027.
Also, Hydro citizens and Fort Cobb voters are being asked to okay a franchise agreement with PSO for a 25 year contract in each town.
Precinct voting will be held on Tuesday, November 9th. Polls are open from 7 am to 7 pm on that day.
“You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted through the State Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines,” Ms. Ferrell said.
Early voting is available Thursday November 4 and Friday November 5 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the County Election Board located at the Caddo County Courthouse, 110 SW 2nd St, Ste 106, Anadarko, OK.
