Steve Barboza, of Chickasha, was born on May 23, 1953, in New Bedford, Massachusetts and passed away on October 3, 2021.

Steve moved to Oklahoma and joined the National Guard at the age of 18. He married the love of his life, Romelda Copeland, on October 12, 1979. He worked as a roustabout in the oilfield before building trailers. He was known for his love of classic cars and great music.  Hubba-hubba.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Hank and Phoebe Martinez.

He is survived by his wife, Romelda Barboza of Chickasha; brother Kenny Barboza of Yukon; sisters Cabrina and husband Larry Setters of Anadarko, Michelle Martinez of Pocasset, Paula Martinez and husband Daniel Roundface of Anadarko; Brothers-in-law James Copeland and wife Patsy of Chickasha, Gilbert Copeland and wife DeAnna of Chickasha; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 4:00pm.  Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
