Veteran owned coffee house to feature local artists

Viridian Coffee, Chickasha’s premier coffee hub, is owned by United States Army Veteran Shay Hayes and his wife Lindsay. With three other locations operating, one in Lawton and two in Duncan, the Chickasha location is the fourth in their franchise. Setting them well above the standard of other coffee houses, Viridian can proudly say that they roast their own beans. The supply of more than 2,000 pounds of beans each month is imported from 8 counties around the world and shipped all over the nation. The selection of fresh pastries they offer are prepared by their own team of bakers, also located in Duncan.
Hanging on a wall inside the coffee house is a collection of scenic and rural imagry translated to canvas or in frames. Each image is the creation of Chickasha artist Jamie Jones.
Jones is the first of a monthly rotation of artists that will be selected to publicly display their creations inside of Viridian Coffee. “Our goal is to expose the community to local artists and to a variety of different styles of art”, says Hayes. The gallery wall has been painted a black slate and features a professional gallery rail. It is designed to hold everything from paintings to pottery. The next art rotation is scheduled for January 2021.
Jones is more than just a photographer. She has developed her own unique editing techniques that give each image a stylized flare that is uniquely her own.
