Liberty National Bank creates book exchange for health facilities

Liberty National Bank with a facility in Chickasha has created a book exchange program for area nursing homes and health care facilities.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many local nursing homes were locked down and residents could not have visitors. Keeping residents occupied due to restrictions was a problem.
One resident mentioned that while she has been quarantined, she has read every book in her library and wished she had some new books to read to help occupy her time. At this point, the bank asked employees to bring in any books that they would like to donate. Almost 200 books that range in genres from romance, mysteries, westerns, and biographies were collected.
Health facilities were contacted and, depending on their need, books were supplied to them, and a like amount of books was picked up to be used at another facility. This method allows the facility have new reading materials for their residents to enjoy.
Liberty National Bank is excited to be able to provide this additional resource for the Activity Directors of these facilities because how challenging it must be to come up with things to help entertain residents, especially during these unusual times.
Liberty National Bank in Chickasha is located at 1924 South 4th Street. They have other locations in Apache, Blanchard, Elgin, Medicine Park, Oklahoma City and two locations in Lawton.
