Larry Gene Francis

June 25, 1947 — November 13, 2024

Anadarko, OK

Larry Gene Francis, 77, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 13, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on June 25, 1947, to Elmer and Peggy (Abolt) Francis in Terre Haute, Indiana. Larry was raised in Anderson, Indiana along with his sister Connie. They also had 6 half siblings: Tricia Anderson, Cheryl Fowler, Cindy McMahan, Mary Leonard, Kathy Rice, and Bill Francis. He worked as a truck driver, delivering plant products for many years. Larry later worked as a forklift driver for Oldcastle Lawn and Garden. Larry always worked hard and provided for his family. He had the best work ethic and taught his girls you get out of bed and go to work every day. He married the love of his life Cynthia Rogers on August 11, 1990, in Shamrock, Texas. Larry loved his family with everything he had. He was his daughter’s biggest cheerleader in whatever they did. He attended every game, practice, and play; you name it, he was there. He played as hard as he worked and was always the life of the party. Larry took great pride in his home and yard, and if you called him on a Saturday, he was always out mowing his yard. He loved life, dancing, eating, being silly, his boats, camping, and the lake. Larry will forever be in our hearts, and we will have many laughs in the years to come when we tell his stories and crazy antics.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Francis and Peggy Stankey, daughters Tammy Francis and Tiffany Francis, and his sister Connie Crawford.

Survivors include wife of 34 years, Cynthia Francis of the home, Daughters, Toye Cornell and wife Diane, Kim Hartson and husband Tony, Summer Weber and husband Gene, Grandchildren, Jessica Berry and husband Deane, Tori Ross and husband Donte, Jordan Francis, Jory Thompson and husband Asher, Wade Francis and Justice Francis.
