Terry “Joe” Matthews went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in Anadarko, OK at the age of 53. He was born on March 20, 1971, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A memorial service is planned for 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 11, 2024, at Faith Church with Rev. David Morrow officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Joe is a 1989 Velma-Alma High School graduate. In 2011, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with a Teaching certificate from East Central University. Terry was a member of Faith Church and enjoyed watching OU football, fishing, and visiting Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Angelia Matthews; parents, Tommy and Mary; children: Cody Joe Matthews and wife Kaylee, Andrew Glenna and wife Hannah; brothers: Clyde Matthews, Justin Matthews; and step-daughters: Taylor Bradley and husband Jacob and Auston Holz.
