Jimmie Dee Sumter passed away on September 28, 2024. He is survived by his wife Nancy Sumter and Lexi of the home. Also survived by his children, Racheal Leviner and Deck Sumter, two step-children, Chris and Krystin, his brothers, Thomas Burnett, and Jim Burnett, and several grandchildren.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his father, Deck Sumter, mother, Mary (Carter) Burnett, brother, Forest D. Sumter, and sisters, Pattie Burnett, Phylis Burnett, and Donna Burnett.
Jimmie served in the Army 83 airborne. He attended Southeast High School in Oklahoma City. He was a brick mason for over fifty years. Jimmie was a proud member of the Caddo Nation.
Jimmie D was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at noon at the Carter-Guy Family Cemetery in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.
