Reta Ann Lister

Reta Ann (Tilley) Lister, 72, passed away peacefully on Sept 27th, 2024 in Chickasha, OK.

She was born Feb 22nd, 1952 in Anadarko, OK to Jack and Dorothy (Courtney) Tilley. She was raised in Carnegie, OK where she graduated High School in 1970.

She went on to marry Ronald Jay Bostik in April of 1972. To that union, one daughter, April (Bostik) Clark was born. They made their home in Mountain View, OK. It was at this time Reta found a love and hobby for painting china. She often traveled across the US attending China conventions with her sister, Joyce Pond.

She also enjoyed dirt track racing. It was at Dutton Speedway in Fort Cobb, OK that she would marry Leroy Glenn “Butch” Lister Sr. in Sept 1993. They have one son, Justin Warren Lister. Reta became a homemaker and also worked alongside Butch owning and operating a small trucking business. She loved spending time with her friends and family (especially her grandkids) and watching OU football. She could often be found yelling at the TV on college game days. Reta never met a stranger and will be remembered for her big heart and outspoken personality.

She leaves behind one daughter, April Clark, and husband Donnie, Mountain View, OK, A son, Justin Lister, and special friend Jordan Thompson, Chickasha, OK, Bonus daughter Cheryl Lister and husband Chris of Oklahoma City, OK, Brother Victor Lynn Tilley, Blanchard, OK, Grandsons Kaden Lister, Karson Lister and Kaiser Lister Chickasha, OK, Granddaughters Katelyn Lister and Katy Thompson, Chickasha, OK, Many numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Dorothy Tilley Husband Butch Lister Sr., and Sister Joyce Pond.

Cremation services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home, where words of comfort and condolences may be left for the family at http://www.fergusonfuneralhome.com.

A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
