Alfred Madison Harris Jr.

April 16, 1961 — September 18, 2024

Anadarko, OK

Alfred Madison “Friday” Harris Jr., 63, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born April 16, 1961, to Alfred Harris Sr. and Laura Henderson in Anadarko, OK. He graduated from Anadarko High School in 1979. While in high school he found his passion for music and participated in the High School Marching band. Alfred was a devout Christian and contributed a part of his time attending church. He also started playing the Trombone at church in 1999. Alfred dedicated his life to the Caddo County District #2 location performing many duties as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He cherished this career dearly and invested himself in it throughout his entire working career. Having worked almost 44 years he eventually retired in May of 2023. Alfred spent 24 wonderful years with the love of his life, his wife, Charlene Harris. All it took was one OU football game and the rest is history. God truly blessed our family with the most amazing Husband, Dad, and Papa. Alfred loved watching the OU and Dallas Cowboys football games, going fishing with his son, and rearranging his tacklebox regularly. He was continuously catering to his honey to-do list and enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the koi and pouring all his love into his family. Alfred was his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids biggest fan. Many knew him as being a man of few words, but his actions were impactful. Having a conversation with him consisted of a few jokes, maybe some history facts, politics, and football! He will be deeply missed by all he knew. The family would like to thank everyone that has shown today and those who have sent their condolences. We are truly moved by the amount of love that has been given to us.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. James Harris, Janice Price, and Geraldine Courtney.

Survivors include his wife Charlene Harris of the home, 2 Children: Shad Courtney and wife Bonita, and kids, Chase Courtney and wife Courtney, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
