Ronnie Joe McCauley Jr was born on July 15, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas, to Ronnie Joe McCauley Sr. and Joann (Sumner) McCauley. He passed from this life on September 7, 2024, in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, at the age of 68.
Ronnie was a graduate of the Fort Cobb High School. He also attended Southwestern College. Ronnie was a member of the Church of Christ in Fort Cobb. He spent his beginning working life as a tool pusher in the oilfield. For the last several years he had been a supervisor at the Midwest cooling tower.
Ronnie was a huge OU football fan. He enjoyed racing at the Dutton Speedway when he was younger. He was a hard worker and loved his job. Ronnie was a comedian; he was always making someone laugh. He also enjoyed traveling when he got the chance. Ronnie loved steak and believed that it should be on the menu every day of the week. His children and his grandchildren were his world and he loved them dearly.
Left to cherish the memory of Ronnie are his father, Ronnie Joe McCauley Sr. of Fort Cobb, his son, Trey McCauley and wife Valerie of Chickasha, his daughter, Madison Skinner and husband Dillon of Fort Cobb, his sister, Brenda Smith and husband Rick of Fort Cobb, his four grandchildren, Luke and Avery McCauley and Bentley and Paisley Skinner, along with nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Joann McCauley, paternal grandmother, Juanita Reeves, and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Hazel Sumner.
A memorial began at 10:00 AM, on September 17, 2024, at the Fort Cobb Church of Christ.
Services were under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home.
