Patricia Sue Anderson

Patricia Sue (Taylor) Anderson was born on December 1, 1943, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Paul Denton and Alline (Reed) Denton-Craven. She passed from this life on September 3, 2024, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, at the age of 80.
Patricia attended Seminole High School and in later years attended Beauty School. She has been a resident of Anadarko, Oklahoma since she was 16 years old. She worked for Hollytex Carpet Mill for thirty-three years until her retirement.
Patricia married Billy Tom Anderson in 1960 and together they had three children, Angela, Terry, and Donna. In 1992, She met John Robert Gerken and they had been loving companions for over thirty years.
Patricia was a gambling queen. She enjoyed going to the Fort Cobb Lake to fish and have cookouts. She was a huge OU football fan. Patricia was an amazing cook and loved cooking for her loved ones. She was a lover of the older things in life, she loved old western movies, Elvis, and old rock ”n roll. Patricia was an antique collector and had inherited a salt and pepper collection from her mother that was quite extensive.
Patricia was an amazing mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, and friend. Her family was her greatest love. She enjoyed all the time they had together. Patricia attended all the family gatherings and always looked forward to them.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Denton and Alline Craven, husband, Billy Tom Anderson, son, Terry Lynn Anderson, brother, Grady Lee Showalter, and great-grandchild, Raider Barcindebar.
Left to cherish the memory of Patricia are her companion, John Gerken, her daughters, Angela Vaughan and husband Robert of Carnegie, and Donna Lewis of Anadarko, her brother, John E. Taylor and wife, Jean of Pearland, Texas, grandchildren, Robert Vaughan and wife Katlin, Ryan Vaughan and wife Ariana, Alyssa Andes and husband Edward, Taylor Anderson, Mari Hall and husband Jared, Jeremy Lewis, Dillon Lewis, and Destiny Anderson, great-grandchildren, Conner, Rosalyn, Jacob, Robbin, Kayla, Hailey, Titan, Raylee, Ryan Jr., Alayna, Amera, Matty, Liam, Kinley, Kayzley, Juhnah, Lillian, Parker, Rylee, Ellee, and Wyatt and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a very close lifelong friend, Lahoma Spray.
A memorial service to honor the life of Patricia was set to begin at 10:00 AM, September 11, 2024, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
Services were under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
