Matthew WhiteBead was born on February 26, 1961, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Reuben WhiteBead and Rhoda (Wilson) WhiteBead. He passed from this life on September 18, 2024, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, at the age of 63.
Matthew was a resident of Anadarko for the last 20 years. He was a member of Wichita Community Church. In his younger years, it was at this church where he found the Lord and was baptized.
Matthew’s interests were varied and many. He loved playing pool and was an avid football fan, especially of the OU Sooners. He enjoyed going to concerts and driving to the mountains. Matthew also liked to shop at various farmers’ markets. One of his favorite types of fresh produce was Black Diamond watermelons from Rush Springs. Above all else Matthew loved family. His kids and grandkids were his pride and joy.
Left to cherish the memory of Matthew are his sons, Kendall Scout and wife Kristian WhiteBead of Gracemont, Oklahoma, Reuben Frank WhiteBead of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his daughter, Leslie Ravone WhiteBead of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his sister, Verna Castillo of Binger, Oklahoma, his five grandchildren, Kynlee WhiteBead, Matthew WhiteBead, Madeline Littlehawk, Mallory Littlehawk, and Rhodalyn WhiteBead, one great-grandchild, Jeremiah Lopez, and numerous extended family and friends.
Matthew is preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Rhoda WhiteBead, his sisters, Roberta Smith and Trisha Roulin, his brother, David WhiteBead, and his brother-in-law, George Castillo.
Visitation for Matthew was held from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM on September 22, 2024, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
A prayer service for Matthew was from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM on September 22, 2024, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
A funeral service to honor the life of Matthew began at 11:00 AM on September 23, 2024, at the Caddo Nation Complex in Binger, Oklahoma. Following the service, he was laid to his final rest at Binger Cemetery in Binger, Oklahoma.
Services were under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
