Dortha Lou (Box) Eubank, 94, of Edmond, formerly of Chickasha, passed from this life on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born July 4, 1930, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Henry and Willie (Wilkinson) Box.

Dortha grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1948. She worked at Southwestern Bell for a time before she stayed home caring for and raising her family.

Dortha liked working in her yard and loved playing bridge and watching Johnny Carson. She was fun-loving and light-hearted and she led a simple, private life. She enjoyed surprising her loved ones with unique, perhaps even shocking, gifts. She doted on her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her daughter Jill Eubank, her brothers Don and Jerry, and her sisters Freddie, Joyce, and JoAnn.

Loved ones left to remember her are her son and daughter-in-law Steve and Lana Eubank of Chickasha; granddaughter Carli Eubank of Duncan; grandson Derek Eubank of Amber; and other extended family and friends.

A private interment in Rose Hill Cemetery will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
