Wanda Nell Wright’s funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7th, 2024 in the Sevier Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the Victory Cemetery between Altus and Duke, OK.

Wanda Nell Wright was born on April 4th, 1934, in Commerce County, TX, to Acy and Bessie (Perkins) Jolley. She passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 30th, 2024, at the age of 90. 

 Wanda grew up with a large family. She met Marion Wright in Olustee, OK when her family worked there in the Cotton fields. She married Marion on November 4, 1950, in Altus, OK. They later had their only son Mark in 1959. She was a very dedicated Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed going to all their school and major events in their lives. She loved her family more than anything in the world. She spent 10 years working for Duke Public Schools in the Kitchen. In 1980, when Mark left for college she and Marion moved to Chickasha, OK. She then went to work for Chickasha Public Schools in the kitchen for 34 years and retired in 2015.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marion; her parents Acy and Bessie Jolley; her son, Mark Wright; her brothers W.C., Dee, Leeroy, Chilton, John, Billy, Gene, Harold, and Ulyus; sisters, Vick and Mae.

Wanda is survived by grandchildren Sarah, Abby, Tamera, and Gary; 10 great-grandchildren: Langston, Kylee, Jimmy, Brett, Hagen, Lewton, Brooke, Bailey, Paisley, and Morgan; daughter-in-law, Brenda Brimer; many many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Interment will be under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.
