Funeral service for Adella Ortiz, 85, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at The Christian Center in Chickasha. The interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Adella Ortiz of Chickasha, Oklahoma was born on March 18, 1939, to Francisco and Margarita Ortiz.  She was a devoted mother who her family always surrounded.  She loved traveling, gardening, playing Loteria, and cooking Mexican food, and she was always ready for any adventure. Still, most importantly she loved the Lord and her family with all her heart.

Adella is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Margarita Ortiz, her brothers, Felix Ortiz, Frank Ortiz, Antonio Ortiz, and Florencio Ortiz and her sisters, Elena Ortiz Jefferson, Benita Ortiz Baeza, Angela Ortiz Daniels. Her son, Roy Sanchez, and one great-granddaughter, Kyligh Rumbaugh. 

She is survived by her sisters, Pracilia Lopez (Pete) of Crosbyton, TX, Esther Garcia (Victor) of New Braunfels, TX, Mary Ortiz of Corpus Christi, TX, and Eva Ortiz of Wichita Falls, TX.  She is survived by her children Sylvia Herrera (Luis) of Chickasha, OK, Gilbert Herrera (Claudia) of Lindsay, OK, Estelle Daughtry (Keith) of Chickasha, OK, Rey Davidson (Terry) of Dublin, TX, Junior Sanchez of Chickasha, OK, Suzanna Sanchez of Gilbert, AZ, Lucy Cummins (Scott) of Perryton, TX, a total of 24 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
