The Comanche City Council interviewed three candidates for the city manager’s position in executive session during its Aug. 13 meeting. The council is expected to discuss the interviews and make a choice at a later date.
The candidates include current interim city manager Wayne McCasland, Darren Coats and Anthony White.
McCasland was the first to be interviewed, followed by Coats and then White. Coats is from Duncan and White lives outside of Comanche’s city limits.
Coats was vice president of the Oklahoma Blood Institute for more than 12 years, from 2008-2021. He has also been a USHealth sales director for two years and has worked for Harbor Freight.
White owns three businesses: Rocking 5W, a dispensary and a salon.
