Funeral service for Sondra Jarvis,79, of Cement, OK were held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chickasha, OK.  Interment will be in the Cement Cemetery.

Sondra G “Dorries” Jarvis was born January 2, 1943 in Baird, Texas.  Sondra passed away at her home after a six year battle with cancer on February 13, 2022.  

Sondra married Frank H Jarvis in January, 1959 in Abilene, Texas.  She loved children, sewing and knitting, playing solitaire, flowers, a good puzzle and was a wonderful cook.  She was a very caring mom and grandma and was always doing her best to care for others right up to the end.

Survivors include sister Evelyn Adams and brother Gene Dorries, Jr; sister-in-law Vida Buck; daughters Zoe Ann Valdez, Leta Kay Handke; son Frank Jarvis III; grandchildren Joshua King, Johnathan Munn, Zhanna Zoe Lewis, Sondra Lewis, Chase Zeiset, Eric Zeiset, Twylah Whitehead, Steven H Jarvis, Jr, Chelsea Jarvis; great-grandchildren Xavier King, Angel King, Bryson Munn, Braxton Munn, Carlie Munn and Aleah, Kaydn, and Rhyln Lewis, Shelbie, Brittanie, Alexis and Karlie and Ellie Zeiset, Aaron and Kelsey Jarvis, Kristen Harris, Kaisen, Kenna, Luke Whitehead and six great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sondra was preceded in death by her husband Frank Jarvis; parents Gene and Francis Dorries; brother Jerry Dorries; sisters Barbara and Margie; sister-in-law Sue Caldwell, grandson Ryder Zeiset and son Steven H Jarvis, Sr.

Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
