Funeral service for Barbara Schmidt, 76, of Chickasha, will be held at2:00pm, Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Plainview Mennonite Church.

Barbara E. Schmidt was born March 16, 1945, the daughter of Dorothy and Charles Leonard in Ogden, Utah.  Barbara grew up in Colorado.  On October 5, 1963 she married Lawrence E. Schmidt of Chickasha, OK.  They made their home in Chickasha, OK and resided there until her passing on November 11, 2021.  Barbara was employed by the clinic in Chickasha for several years and enjoyed helping people.  She also worked for E.B. Cole Air Conditioning and worked for the Grady County Courthouse for over twenty years.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Lawrence Schmidt, son Lawrence Schmidt, Jr. and daughter Laura Cervantez and spouse Richard Cervantez.  She also has three grandchildren; Jordan Cervantez and spouse, Jessica Cervantez, Alyssa Cervantez Hutchins and spouse Johnathon Hutchins and Mason Schmidt; five great-grandchildren Maggie, Julian and Theodore Cervantez and Harlow and Phoenix Hutchins. 

Barbara is very well loved and will be greatly missed.
