Funeral services for Eleanor M. Koehler, 93, of Cement, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cement with Pastor John Zwolle officiating.
Eleanor M. (Christian) Koehler was born March 24, 1928 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Oscar Christian and Pearl (George) Christian. She died Saturday, October 9, 2021 at her home in Cement, Oklahoma.
Eleanor moved to Louisiana as a young child and then returned to Oklahoma where she graduated from Seminole High School in 1945. She came to Chickasha after graduation.
On July 25, 1947, she married Robert “Bob” Koehler in Chickasha. They shared 67 years together before his passing in 2015.
Eleanor worked for Gibson’s from 1968 to 1989. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, quilting and all kinds of crafts.
She was preceded in death by both parents and husband Bob, one son Bill Koehler; two sisters Virginia Greenwood and Delores Sales; and one brother Donald Christian.
Survivors include her daughter Linda Youngblood and her life partner, Steve Mink of Cement; son and daughter in-law Floyd and Beverly Calaway of Blanchard; sister and brother-in-law Joan and Buren Thompson of Cement; grandchildren Darla Miller of Sand Springs, Sherri Myers of Syracuse, New York, Shelley Borzellecoa of Norristown, Pennsylvania, Ronald Koehler of Guymon, Karen Hamby of Guthrie, Robert Youngblood of Cement, John Youngblood of Cement and Danna Pavlino of Cement. Numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Cement Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
