Bonita McAdoo, 85, of Wichita Falls TX, was born Saturday, August 29, 1936 in Wichita Falls, TX, to Lue Wood. She passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Rush Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will be in the West View Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Bonita was a 1954 graduate of Rush Springs High School. Bonita lived in the Rush Springs area all of her life and worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell.
Bonita married the love of her life, William “Morris” McAdoo, on August 30, 1958 in Rush Springs. She and Morris celebrated 57 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on May 24, 2016.
Bonita was in Monarch Club, the Red Hat Society and a member of the Rush Springs All Sports Association.
She enjoyed Sunday school class, cooking, playing the organ and piano at church, and visiting with people at the local fruit stand.
Bonita also enjoyed attending all of her kids and grandkids sporting events, she specifically enjoyed watching the Rush Springs Redskins, Tuttle Tigers, SouthEastern Savage Storm softball and OU Sooner Softball. More than anything she loved her family and the time she got to spend with them. Bonita will be missed by many.
Survivors include, 2 sons, Jimmy McAdoo and wife Jackie of Rush Springs, and Brad McAdoo and wife Jackie of Tuttle, 2 daughters, Lisa McAdoo of Rush Springs, and Kim Duke and husband Marty of Cement, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Len Piotrowski of Austin, TX, sister-in-law, June McKay of Edmond, sister-in-law, Patsy McAdoo of Rush Springs, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonita was preceded in death by husband, William “Morris” McAdoo, mother, Lue Wood, father, Albert Wood, brother, James Butch Yeary, Sister, Gail Piotrowski, and her Aunt Pearl Mae (Elliott) Dahl.
