David Michael Halcomb


 David Michael Halcomb was born December 16, 1953 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Albert Estes Halcomb and Okie Evelyn (Ervin) Halcomb. He died on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
 Memorial services for David Michael Halcomb, 67, of Cement, were held Thursday, September 30, 2021 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Zwolle officiating.
 For the most part, Mike grew up in Antlers, Oklahoma. He worked in the oilfield and drywalling some, but the majority of his life he was a truckdriver.
 He met Rosa Lee Chaney while he was working in the Chickasha area and they were married on February 17, 1973 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They shared over 48 years together.
 Mike enjoyed fishing with his sons and loved their annual pheasant hunting trip. He spent many hours in his shop fixing and building things. Every chance he had he would get one or all of his grandkids to join him in the shop to help. Papa loved and treasured each of his grandkids and they will always cherish their memories they created with Papa.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Larry Halcomb, Jack Halcomb and Steven Halcomb, and sister Cathy Gonzalez.
 Survivors include his wife Rosa of the home; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Violet Halcomb of Blanchard, Kirk and Monica Halcomb of Mustang and Ryan and Donna Halcomb of Blanchard; sister Geneva Wood of Wichita Falls, Texas; brother Joe Halcomb and wife Joyce of Branson, Missouri; brother-in-law Raul Gonzalez of Seminole; 7 grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
 Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
