Faye Rene (Hinton) Giles was born July 3, 1951 in Kilgore, Texas to Curtis William Hinton and Thelma Levonia (Needham) Hinton. She died August 12, 2021 in Mesa, Arizona.
Graveside services for Faye Rene Giles, 70, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
Faye grew up in Kilgore, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas.
Faye met the love of her life, Richard “Bud” Vernon Giles, Sr. in 1969 and they were married October 23, 1973 in Idabel, Oklahoma.
She moved for a time to Sunset, Louisiana then back to Texarkana. She and Bud eventually settled in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she worked with Jim Montgomery for many years at United Funeral Benefits’ Chickasha office.
Faye liked to play bingo, go to casinos and shopping. She attended church on occasion and enjoyed being with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Richard “Bud” Giles, Sr., grandson Brandon Michael Giles and siblings Nancy Jo Wulf, William “Billy” Clyde Hinton, Betty Jean Hanna, Patricia Ann Weatherly, Paul Michael Hinton, John Lee Hinton, Anita Louise Brown, Curtis Richard Hinton, and Sandra Marie Hinton.
Survivors include her children Kathy LeeAnne Walker and husband Cliff of Edmond, Richard Giles, Jr and Mary of Chickasha; Emily Levonia Irene Giles of the home in Arizona, and Yvonne Robertson; four grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; brother and sister Curtis Lee Hinton and Jeannie Rene Thielman; and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home located in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
