Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Sevier Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Holy Name Section of Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
Charlotte Morris, 100, of Chickasha, Oklahoma was born July 5, 1919 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to John and Patrica (Roach) Rivas.
Charlotte lived a long happy life. She was deeply religious and prayed for all her relatives and friends during their difficult times. Charlotte had a great sense of humor, she found joy and happiness in small things in life.
Charlotte’s life on earth was completed, she was called by the Lord on February 1, 2020. It is now her time to watch over her remaining family.
Charlotte worked as a nurse for Oklahoma Hospital in Chickasha for many years and worked with several local physicians. She married Garner Morris and they made their home in Bromide, Oklahoma where they raised cattle. While in Bromide, Charlotte worked for a sewing factory until she retired to become a fulltime homemaker. After Garner passed away, she moved back to Chickasha to take care of her two sisters.
She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church of Chickasha.
Charlotte was loved by all her family and will be greatly missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Patrica Rivas; brothers: John M. Rivas, Cross Rivas, Cid Rivas and Louis Rivas; Sisters: Elizabeth Walton and Benita LaGrange; husband, Garner Morris; sons: John S. Birchfield and Francis L. Birchfield; grandson, Christopher Birchfield.
Charlotte is survived by her sisters: Thomasita Rivas of the home, and Mary Plata of Lawton, OK; many nieces and nephews and also her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
