“FEAR NOT” 365 DAYS A YEAR!!
As I was preaching a while back, the phrase “FEAR NOT” came up in the message. I made a comment that I really needed to look up just how many times that phrase was used in the bible, and I jokingly asked the congregation to look that up for me on the internet. At the end of my sermon, there were three different people that found it and it was quoted 365 times!! I believe God must want us to say that phrase every day, all year long!!
“FEAR NOT” was quoted three time by the angel Gabriel in the first two Chapters of Luke foretelling the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus. First to Zacharias, then to Mary, and then to the Shepherds of the field after Jesus was born. (Luke 1:13, 1:30, and 2:10) Isn’t it odd that these people had to be told not to fear joy and peace? Why does God have to keep reminding us to “FEAR NOT”? because fear will come just like it says in Luke 1:65. “And fear came on all that dwelt round about them.
Fear is going to come to all of us; But the point is God tells us to “FEAR NOT” so that we can get through the times we are afraid. He wants us to reject fear and not live in it!! Just like God told Joshua, we can choose to reject fear and replace it with “be of good courage”!! Living in fear will destroy our faith and cause us to be disconnected from God!!
 Let’s start saying every day “ I FEAR NOT!! GOD IS FOR ME AND NO WEAPON AGAINST ME WILL PROSPER”!! It is now the time of year to rejoice and enjoy the peace of God. Be blessed and don’t let fear steal your Joy. Happy NEW YEAR!!!
