To love or not to love
As Christians, we stand in faith and walk in the truth of God’s word. It is very commendable to live your life like this, but don’t take it for granted. You need to realize that when you are standing for God you are only one step removed from falling. For instance, we all know that we are supposed to love one another. Jesus stressed the act of love as being equivalent
However, love must be discerning. Love is not a naive, unthinking, open to anything and anyone kind of love. Biblical love is a matter of choice; it is dangerous and foolish to float through life with undiscerning love. There are many cults and false teachers running around in the world today that we cannot embrace with love. Many of these people do not acknowledge Christ as having come in the flesh, being born of a virgin, and rising from the dead after dying on the cross to pay for our sins!! It would be an ungodly type of love to open the door to false and ungodly teaching.
We must absolutely have love and fellowship with God. We must absolutely have love and fellowship with other Christians. But we must absolutely NOT share our love and fellowship with ungodly, false teaching.
Oh, there are those that say that we must be tolerant and open to other ideas. That is a lie from hell and has infiltrated many of our modern churches and has brought great harm to many undiscerning Christians.
So don’t stick your head in the sand; Do walk in Love, but watch where you step!! Please read the second epistle of John for more information, and “Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall” (1sh Cor. 10:12) Blessings in His Love, Word, and Power.
